Healthiest Business Challenge
The Healthiest Business Challenge is a point based challenge created in partnership with Steps to a HealthierWA Project, Get Fit Foods, and Gold’s Gym.
The purpose of participating in this challenge is to implement policy changes
that motivate employees to learn and benefit from the concepts of healthier eating and the basics of exercise and tobacco cessation, thus improving their health,
wellbeing and productivity. A healthier, happier, safer, and more satisfied workforce is good for both employees and employers. Our objective is to assist businesses in implementing a worksite wellness program that will help to reduce obesity, diabetes and tobacco use and increase the health and fitness of their employees. The Healthiest Business Challenge of 2008 begins August 4, 2008 and ends November 16th, 2008.
Points: Businesses and their employees gain points for healthy activities.
The businesses with the most points in each category at the end of the four month contest win! Winners receive an award and recognition at the annual Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce Banquet which is held annually in February. Participants receive
monthly recognition in the Wenatchee Business Journal by way of standings, information, category and advertising.
